Ask Fin is built for everyday American households. It is useful whether you are trying to build a budget for the first time, understand your debt, find ways to save more, or explore extra income ideas. You do not need any financial knowledge to use it.

Is Ask Fin free?

Yes. Ask Fin is entirely free. All 14 tools are included at no cost. There are no tiers, no add-ons, and no hidden fees. No payment details are ever required.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. You can create an account and use every tool without ever entering payment details. Ask Fin is free.

What tools are included?

Is my financial data safe?

Yes. Many Ask Fin tools work with numbers you enter yourself — the calculations happen in your browser and the data is not sent to our servers. For account features, your data is stored securely using Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does Ask Fin connect to my bank account?

No. Ask Fin does not connect to your bank. All tools work with numbers you type in yourself. Nothing is pulled automatically from any financial account.

Is Ask Fin financial advice?

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Settings at any time and choose to close your account. As Ask Fin is free, there is no billing to cancel. Your data will be deleted within 90 days of account closure.

What if I need help with serious debt?

Ask Fin provides general educational information only and is not a substitute for qualified debt help. If you are struggling with serious debt, please contact a free nonprofit service: NFCC (nfcc.org), CFPB (consumerfinance.gov), or call 211 for local support.

Does Ask Fin use AI?

Ask Fin includes an AI companion (powered by Anthropic) that can answer general money questions in plain language. AI responses are educational only and may not always be current or complete. Always verify important information with a qualified professional or official source.

Is Ask Fin available across the US?

Yes. Ask Fin is designed for US households. Tools use US dollars, reference US platforms and programs, and are built around the everyday financial situations Americans face.
