Leadtree Global LLP is the data controller for personal data collected through fintriv.io. This page explains your rights under US privacy law and how to exercise them.

Your rights under US state privacy law

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to know — what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share about you
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt-out of sale — we do not sell your personal information
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — you may limit our use of sensitive data beyond what is necessary to provide the service
  • Right to data portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format

Other US states

Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Montana and other states have enacted their own state privacy laws that provide similar rights. We honor these rights for all US users regardless of which state you live in.

Federal protections

The FTC Act provides protections against unfair or deceptive data practices. You may file a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov/complaint.

How to make a data request

To exercise any of your data rights, email us at help@fintriv.io with the subject line "Data Request" and include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your Ask Fin account
  • The type of request: access / deletion / correction / portability / opt-out of sale

We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. Where a request is complex or we receive a high volume of requests, we may extend this period by a further 45 days, in which case we will notify you of the extension.

Subscription cancellation vs data deletion

Cancelling your subscription is separate from deleting your account data. Cancelling your subscription ends your billing but keeps your account and data intact. For details, see our Subscription and Cancellation Policy.

Account and data deletion

To permanently delete your account and personal data, go to:

Settings → Account → Delete Account

We will delete your personal data within 90 days of account closure, except for records we are legally required to retain. For example, payment records are retained for 7 years in accordance with applicable financial record-keeping requirements.

How to complain about data handling

If you believe we have handled your personal data incorrectly:

  • Email us at help@fintriv.io — we will investigate and respond
  • File a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov/complaint
  • California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov
  • All US residents may contact their state attorney general's office
